It was a good day yesterday at Grand Bend Motorplex for the CSCS event. I was able to get tons of pictures (over 400) but, unfortunately I only had a 1GB and a 2GB card with me so I could’ve had a lot more if I had more memory. I filled them both up before the day was through, often having to delete some photos to capture more since some better shots would present themselves. I know I did miss some good ones, so that’s a bummer. After going through all of the images on my computer I ended up with 336 that I thought were good enough to show the public ;). All images were shot in RAW and have been downsized for the web for easy viewing, and less of a chance of people stealing images. Who wants low res. images anyways? I’ve uploaded the imagesto my Picasa account for easy viewing.
About the Day
My girlfriend and I arrived at
Grand Bend Motorplex just after 11am and were there until about 5pm. It was a long day out in the sun but, I had fun and she tells me she did too haha. The drag racing was good, the show and shine was good, the Gymkhana was a little bit of a disappointment (only about 4 cars max. did it) but, it was still fun to watch. A couple of friends showed up later in the day for bit, so that was good. It started raining a bit around 5pm, which is one of the reasons we decided to leave. We went to downtown Grand Bend for a bit of shopping and to eat supper at Coco’s. The food was too over-priced and wasn’t all that great :(. A storm started rolling in and we ended up driving into on the way home. Today I found out that there was a tornado sighted in one of the areas we were driving through and at the same time we were there. The rain was pouring too hard to see anything, so I guess we missed it haha.
Here’s a sample of what you can see by visiting my

I’m going to change things up a little here and talk about the 2007 Bullrun Rally. If you don’t know what that is, shame on you! No, just kidding, but it is one of the most popular road rally races in which some of the richest people of the world drive their nicely done up cars. It also makes some great entertainment as the race is televised for all to see. Luckily for us the 2007 season is being uploaded to Streetfire.net and they currently have up to part 4 out of 10 episodes to view. The 2007 season started in Montreal and ended in Key West; the upcoming 2008 race will be from Calgary to Phoenix starting on June 20th, should be one great race to watch!
If this interests you, you’ll also love the Gumball 3000 rally, with a nice entry cost of £60,000 per car, it better be good! Their 2008 rally will be from San Francisco to Beijing….a little bit more of a trip than the Bullrun I’d say.

Indeed it has been a long time since I last updated! I’ve been busy busy running around doing things, working, seeing friends, all of that fun stuff. My 1991 Honda Accord is now a tad over 360 000kms, still running strong and due for an e-test soon. I had the catalytic converter replaced (all of the surrounding exhaust was rusted and pretty much unrepairable) as well as some of the exhaust replaced. Other than that it’s been good! Honda forever!

Who makes the best cars?
Overall, the best cars sold in the U.S. are made by Honda. That’s the conclusion of a recent analysis conducted by Consumer Reports that looks at the reliability, performance, fuel economy, comfort, interior fit and finish, and ergonomics of 262 vehicles we’ve recently tested.
I suggest everyone reads this

Besides of course the ridiculous price tag and high repair costs, this certain BMW of Lincoln, Nebraska dealer decided they were going to try and not honour their eBay auction when their BMW sold for under the retail value (they had it a no-reserve auction, what did they think was going to happen?) Apparently it’s being all worked out (even after the dealer “laughed and said we are a multi-billion dollar company, ebay will definitely side with us.”
It’s a good thing news spreads very, very fast on the internet, and there are people willing to help out. There’s a bunch of new articles on it, but it all started at m3post.com when the winning bidder was looking for some help.
(as a side note, I would still drive a BMW if I had the money :P)

Functional and fast. Both are words that describe the Hasport ‘95 Integra sedan that carried Bernardo Martinez to victory in the 2007 NASA Honda Challenge Championship….
Need I say more? Well, probably. That’s why you should check out the rest of the article here.

Had the slave cylinder and master cylinder replaced and my Accord is good as new again (in that area at least haha). Good thing it wasn’t the clutch, it would’ve been a lot more expensive!

Well, it happened, the clutch went on my 1991 Honda Accord (from what I can tell) this afternoon on my way home from school :(. Since I barely have any money, it should get interesting…
